Altec 9440A - sometimes channel 2 doesn't do what it should

This is my first post here, so I apologize if I seem a little green, I am.

I have an Altec 9440A amp. I suppose I've had it for about a year and it's been great. I bought it for next to nothing. It is powering a Carver DTL 200 disc player and I'm using a Mitsubishi DA-P20 pre-amp. Speakers are Martin Logan Aerius and I have a JBL sub. Just recently, when I turn it on, sometimes channel 2 isn't powering. Turning the Altec on and off a few times can solve that and then things work as they should. Sometimes after working like it should, channel 2 might poop out. It's a rinse and repeat cycle, intermittent. Sometimes it works great, no problems. I realize the Altec is old, and things wear out and break down. I like the old Altec. Does anyone in the US repair these things anymore? Like a legit well done repair done with love to make them great again? Any suggestions?

have you tried cleaning the switches and pots? a little deoxit can help sometimes.

The best I can offer is a schematic. A competent repair person can fix them. Most repair people aren't extremely competent. But they will want the schematic.

I appreciate you guys offering suggestions and sending the PDF. I added a back-up amp to the system in case something happens or if I have to try to ship off the Altec for repair. Found a guy, an audio nut, that was local that was selling something I thought was a good option for my budget audiophile system. It has plenty of juice. I'm presently powering everything off the Nikko Alpha 450 on the bottom. I've gotten used to the bouncing needles on the Altec but the bouncing green LEDs on the Nikko are kind of cool. The Martin Logan Aerius seem to do well with this big Nikko, like they did with the big Altec.
